Code of Conduct Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA)
By virtue of Law No. 28251, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) has established the National Policy Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA). In line with this initiative, EXPLORA EL PERÚ reaffirms its commitment to preventing and eradicating this serious issue by adopting this Code of Conduct.
At EXPLORA EL PERÚ, we categorically reject the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in all its forms, especially those related to travel and tourism. We believe that this practice violates fundamental human rights and goes against the values and objectives of tourism activity in our country.
Furthermore, we denounce and condemn any person or entity that, directly or indirectly, facilitates, promotes, or tolerates the sexual exploitation of minors within the tourism sector. Therefore, we sign this Code of Conduct with the aim of establishing behavioral standards for our team and business partners.
Our Commitment
As a travel agency, we formally adhere to this commitment by signing the Code of Conduct Against ESNNA before GERCETUR. In doing so, we pledge to respect and apply the principles and duties outlined in this document, in accordance with the General Tourism Law and its regulations regarding the prevention of ESNNA.
One of our main objectives is to promote awareness and continuous training for our entire team, including administrative, operational, and sales personnel, among others. We strive to ensure that every member of EXPLORA EL PERÚ acts in accordance with our values and the current legal framework, ensuring that none of them offer or engage in any activities related to sexual exploitation, such as:
- The participation of children and adolescents in pornographic activities.
- Sex tourism.
- The trafficking of minors for commercial sexual exploitation.
Additionally, we require the signing of the Explora el Perú Supplier Code of Conduct, ensuring that all parties involved in our value chain comply with the five commitments established in the document. We also encourage the immediate reporting of any ESNNA cases to the competent authorities.
Furthermore, we also promote the well-being of children in our region and throughout the country. We indirectly contribute to improving the quality of life for families in the destinations where we operate by generating income through sustainable tourism.
