ITINERARY
The tour begins with pick-up at 7:00 a.m. from a central location in Cusco (prior coordination required). We will head towards the district of Limatambo, located about 2,550 meters above sea level, taking the Cusco–Lima highway. The drive in private transportation will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, during which you’ll enjoy breathtaking Andean landscapes, filled with mountains, green valleys, and small rural communities.
Once we reach the waterfall area, our professional team will provide all the specialized gear for the activity: a wetsuit (to maintain body temperature in the water), helmet, harness, gloves, and technical descending equipment (carabiners, figure eights, and ropes). All the gear is in excellent condition and is regularly checked to ensure the safety of all participants.
With the gear on, we will take a 10-minute walk along a natural trail to reach the first waterfall. Before starting, the professional guide will give a technical briefing on proper equipment use, safety measures, and basic rappelling techniques for those with no prior experience.
The adventure includes descending four natural waterfalls, each with its own level of difficulty:
- First waterfall: 20 meters high
- Second waterfall: 30 meters
- Third waterfall: 10 meters (easier and quicker)
- Fourth waterfall: 60 meters, the highest and most exciting of the tour
Each descent will be closely supervised by the guide and done individually, ensuring that all participants can enjoy the experience safely. The total duration of the waterfall descents will be approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the group size and participants’ skills.
Once finished, we will change into dry clothes and head to enjoy a delicious and hearty lunch in the area, perfect for recharging and sharing the excitement of the adventure.
Afterward, we will board our transport to return to Cusco. he arrival is estimated between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., depending on the group’s pace.
