Enjoy a day getting to know the tropical side of Cusco. This coffee tour takes place in the town of Huayopata on the route to Quillabamba. Learn about the agriculture and coffee production of this town, as well as the artisanal process of making this delicious product, and enjoy meals made with local products. The jungle of Cusco will surprise you with this and many other activities that you can do if you decide to stay more than one day.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: CUSCO – HUAYOPATA – CUSCO

03:30 AM We will pick up at our clients’ hotels to begin this phenomenal tour. We will take the road to Quillabamba. After 2 hours and 30 minutes we will arrive at Abra Málaga (4316 masl) this will be the highest point of our tour. Here we will be able to enjoy the wonderful mountains and amazing views if the weather permits. Then we will begin our descent towards the Cusco jungle. We will make a stop at the viewpoint from where we will be able to appreciate wonderful views of this valley. Approximately at 7:30 we will arrive at the town of Huayopata where our host will welcome us with a delicious tropical breakfast made from local products.

We will begin with our coffee tour, we will visit the host’s plantations as well as the varieties of coffee that are produced in this area. We will learn the entire process of coffee making, from harvesting to consumption (harvesting, pulping, drying, roasting, grinding and consumption).

We will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch. In the afternoon we will begin the process of making chocolate, and we will also learn about the entire process from harvesting to consumption. After this activity, we will board our transport back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.
