Itinerary

Day

CUSCO – CORAO – QORICOCHA – PATABAMBA – HUCHUY QOSQO

Departure from your hotel in Cusco at 08:00 AM.

We head to Corao (30–40 minutes), gateway to the high Andes.

Continue to Qoricocha lagoon for a short stop.

Then to Patabamba, located high above the Sacred Valley.

Here you will enjoy a cultural experience:
• Interaction with local families
• Learning about traditions and agriculture
• Traditional weaving techniques

Enjoy a typical Andean lunch.

After a short rest, begin the hike to Huchuy Qosqo.

Along the way:
• Mountain landscapes and deep valleys
• High-Andean flora
• Local wildlife (llamas, sheep, birds)

Arrival, dinner included, and overnight stay.

Day

HUCHUY QOSQO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES

After breakfast, guided visit to Huchuy Qosqo.

Highlights:
• Agricultural terraces
• Stone and adobe constructions
• Views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas

Descent and transfer to Urubamba for lunch.

Afternoon transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo bound for Aguas Calientes.

Arrival, hotel transfer, and check-in.

Evening briefing at 7:00 PM.

Day

MACHU PICCHU – RETURN

After breakfast, bus up to Machu Picchu.

Guided tour (~3 hours).

Free time for photos.

Return to Aguas Calientes, train to Ollantaytambo, and transfer to Cusco.

What to bring

Small Backpack
Bring a light backpack where you can comfortably carry your essential belongings during the tour.
Hat or Cap
The sun in Cusco can be strong, even on cloudy days, so it is important to protect your head.
Sunscreen and Sunglasses
Solar radiation at high altitude is intense. Use sunscreen and UV-protection sunglasses to avoid discomfort.
Water
Stay hydrated throughout the tour, especially due to the altitude and physical activity.
Comfortable Clothing and a Light Jacket
It is recommended to wear light clothing for walking, but also bring a jacket or sweater, as the weather can change quickly.
Rain Poncho (November to March)
During the rainy season, light showers are common, so a lightweight rain poncho can be very useful.
Cash (Peruvian Soles)
