Cusco Tourist Ticket: Not included. Required for entry to archaeological sites; it can be purchased before or during the tour.
Entrance to Qoricancha: Not included in the tour. It costs approximately S/ 20.00 (7 USD) and is paid directly at the entrance (in cash).
Entrance to the cathedral: costs 40 soles (12 USD)

Itinerary

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin the adventure.

We travel for approximately 3 hours to Checacupe, where we stop for a local breakfast.

Then we continue for about 1 hour to Palcoyo, the starting point of the hike.

Unlike other routes, the hike to the Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain is short and accessible (40–60 minutes), making it ideal for a more relaxed experience.

Along the way, you will enjoy:

The stunning Three Rainbow Mountains
The famous Stone Forest
Panoramic Andean views
(Seasonal) the striking Red River

Free time to enjoy the scenery and take photos.

Afterward, we begin a longer hike toward Ananiso (approx. 2.5–3 hours), with breaks to rest and enjoy a box lunch.

Upon arrival, we explore Ananiso Canyon, where you can:

Observe unique rock formations
Discover ancient rock paintings
Spot local wildlife such as vizcachas

Finally, we return to Cusco, arriving around 6:30 PM.

What to bring

Small Backpack
Bring a light backpack where you can comfortably carry your essential belongings during the tour.
Hat or Cap
The sun in Cusco can be strong, even on cloudy days, so it is important to protect your head.
Sunscreen and Sunglasses
Solar radiation at high altitude is intense. Use sunscreen and UV-protection sunglasses to avoid discomfort.
Water
Stay hydrated throughout the tour, especially due to the altitude and physical activity.
Comfortable Clothing and a Light Jacket
It is recommended to wear light clothing for walking, but also bring a jacket or sweater, as the weather can change quickly.
Rain Poncho (November to March)
During the rainy season, light showers are common, so a lightweight rain poncho can be very useful.
Cash (Peruvian Soles)
Some entrance fees, small purchases, or tips may only be accepted in cash.
Personal Medications
If you are following any treatment or need something specific (such as altitude sickness pills), do not forget to bring it with you.
